If Spotify’s your thing…

We've re-released "Sweet, Sweet Rain" online as The Moonsets.

It was our final work as The Flumes and we've decided to take it with us mostly because many of the songs on it are still in our live set.

So, if Spotify's your thing, give us a follow and stream away...

enjoy!

We feel there’s an urgent need for cannabis/hemp law reform in Australia for medicinal, nutritional industrial and recreational use. So plant the seed and we will Supersede!!!

Dance In The Park + Have Your Say About The Mining Industry's Unnecessary Expansion Into The Cooloola + Sunshine Coast Biosphere.

"We the people of the Cooloola + Sunshine Coast reject New Hope Corporation's plan to mine coal 20kms west of the Great Sandy Strait.

We deplore the QLD + AUS Government's acquiescence to the mining industry's reckless expansion in the name of short term capital gain.

The Mary River is ours from Conondale to River Heads and we will not have them pour industrial filth into her on any stretch let alone so close to this crucial biosphere".

THE MOONSETS • SUPERSEDE LIVE

Not just another stoner song, Supersede is a sub-tropical groove about the many applications of cannabis and the ridiculous laws in place that restrict us using it to it's full potential.

Recorded live at Solbar

Big thanks goes out to Captivate Media, Quizmical Productions, Aaron Giffin and all the naughty kids from All Strings Attached 🙂

Cafe Le Monde • Sunday 2nd April

Returning to Cafe Le Monde Sunday 2nd April for another beachy arvo session. We get sand in our strings but we love it!! A tasty bar and 2 solid sets from The Moonsets 4-6pm, with the wonderfully soulful Peter Hunt takin it through til 7pm...yum.

“psytrance style jazzy rock”

Thanks very much Jai Bevan for this great shot of us from last year with our biggest fan! We're glad we're The Moonsets now for so many reasons. Somewhere between a memory and a dream The Flumes is now a name on old gig posters and dusty CD racks. Something much loved and tinkered with laid to rest. Moving on and letting go is a theme we return to again and again in song and we feel it's ripe for celebration.

The time of The Flumes has passed. Now is the time of The Moonsets.

Check out Jai's tunes, he's a great young songwriter with lots of soul

Live Shots from Solbar • Friday 24 February

Big Love to All Strings Attached and all of the groovers who ventured out to Solbar Friday night for a wild night of music, and cheers to Rob Sharkey for another stellar live shot. We're heading back into the studio to polish off the new tunes to be released very soon, so next chance to catch us live is Cafe Le Monde Sunday 2 April 🙂

Since 2009 we've worked with ShellyM photography. In our opinion one of the best live photographers working on the Sunshine Coast, she's a great friend and a serial photographer with a sharp eye.
